ASTANA: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, accompanied by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited the Astana International Financial Centre in the Kazakh capital on Tuesday as part of His Majesty’s state visit to Kazakhstan.
During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan was briefed on the centre’s operations and its role in enhancing the investment environment and developing financial markets, as well as its contributions to attracting international investments and providing a financial platform linking Kazakhstan with global markets.
His Majesty the Sultan also heard a briefing on the centre’s functions and initiatives in finance, investment, financial markets, financial technology and Islamic finance, along with the opportunities it offers to strengthen economic and investment cooperation at regional and international levels.
The visit reflects the Sultanate of Oman’s interest in strengthening economic and investment cooperation with Kazakhstan and benefiting from its experience in developing the financial and investment sectors, opening broader prospects for partnership between the two countries. — ONA
